CALGARY, ALTA.—Trimac has appointed Frankie Fuchs as its new Vice President of Safety. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Fuchs will oversee company-wide safety strategy, lead safety teams and strengthen collaboration with operations to drive safety performance.

“Frankie brings extensive experience and a practical approach to safety leadership that aligns well with how Trimac operates,” said Ryan Collinge, COO. “He will help us build on our strong safety programs and focus more deeply on the behaviours that create risk in our business. His ability to connect safety strategy to operational performance will be a great asset to our organization.”

Fuchs has more than 25 years of safety leadership experience across mining, construction, manufacturing, transportation and oil and gas. He has worked with both owner organizations and contractors to strengthen serious injury and fatality prevention, critical risk management programs and human and organizational performance. He has led major EHS transformations for organizations including Lafarge, Suncor, JACOS/JAPEX, Aecon and Finning Caterpillar, where he most recently served as Global Vice President, EHS and Operational Excellence.

Fuchs’ experience and people-first approach align strongly with Trimac’s core values. His leadership will play an important role in reducing unnecessary complexity, streamlining information and supporting teams in managing risk in their day-to-day work.
