Trimac Chief People Officer speaks at HR Leaders Summit Canada
Published on November 26, 2025
Krista Pell, Trimac’s Chief People Officer, spoke on the closing panel at the recent HR Leaders Summit Canada held in Vaughan, Ont.
As a panelist, Krista participated in the discussion on What HR Leaders Need to Leave Behind to Look Ahead. The session explored the key forces that will shape Human Resources in the next five years, including AI products being integrated into the workforce; upcoming generational changes in workforce demographics; and purpose-driven leadership.
Discussion focused on how HR leaders can stay ahead of these forces of change, as well as how economic trends are reshaping talent recruitment in Canada. One of the main takeaways Krista hopes the audience gleaned from her session is that growth is uncomfortable but necessary, and in order to move an organization ahead, HR leaders have to be prepared to leave aspects of the past behind.
“It was great to be able to share my experience and contribute to a discussion on the purpose-driven strategies HR leaders can implement to navigate the challenges and transformations that human resources will face over the next five years,” said Pell. “Having the opportunity to collaborate with People & Culture leaders from across Canada provided great insights and I’m excited to incorporate my learnings at Trimac.”
The conference, hosted by HRD Canada magazine, brought together senior HR leaders from across Canada for two days of productive conversations and valuable takeaways. Held at Vaughan’s Universal EventSpace from Nov. 10 to 11, the conference focused on the tactical frameworks and practical strategies senior HR leaders need to drive real impact in 2025.
